My close range eyesight is not as strong as my far away eyesight so typing in blue a bright color helps me see spelling & grammar mistakes far better & making my typing bigger just enhances it even more.

But you have to read what everyone else reads in small font? Wouldn't it make more sense to write in the same font as everyone else but use browser zoom to increase the font size (and maybe custom styles to change the font/colour)?
