Only with the rise of cosplaying, and greater graphics did hotter and hotter people start to come into the fold of geek culture. And with more hot people, the normies started to flood in. Even in anime, people were starting to realize, like, hey characters are more attractive and appealing to look at than this disney pixar shit they've been putting out lately. The whole 'woke' and 'fat-acceptance' agenda, was purely brought about, I think, clearly as a profit-driven media strategy-- I mean it's perfectly logical to think as most people in the US are fat, and that by making media that appeals the the current demographics of the present day, companies would be bound to open up new consumer markets. Especially in a climate where companies like Abercrombie & Fitch in circa 2010, with their ARYAN GOD prejudiced advertising back in the day, were seeing massive declines in revenue. What media companies got wrong is that they hired the wokest losers imaginable to spearhead these inclusiveness initiatives-- brainwashed smug marxist they/them females that are only capable of self-inserts, who wanted the world to reflect themselves, and shame anyone who does not hold a candle to their overly lofty moral standards.
