People especially in the liberalized west love to talk about free democracy and the values of a “democratic state” but there’s no such thing. At the end of the day in the populations of modern democracies a majority cannot think for themselves, and they outnumber the amount that can. Those who don't think for themselves don't not vote, but their thinking and voting is done for them by the people who control the media, and the people who control the corporations (which are all the same multi billion and trillion dollar people as the ones who control the media). The difference between totalitarianism and democracy is that in totalitarianism everyone knows who's in control and in democracy its shadowy elites you know nothing about. It only gets worse as the democracy expands to include women, minorities, the mentally disabled, etc. The more "Inclusive" a democracy is to include the people groups who cannot think for themselves, the more certain the power of elitist control and the elitest worldwide globohomo agenda.
Nothing proves this further than the "corona" crisis. Small businesses tanked while mega corporations (owned by the same people who own and perpetrate the mass media) gained massively in wealth. The more Walmart's there are the more people go to the Walmart's, and the more people go to Walmart the more they see what the big corporations want them to see. If the corporations and major media can monopolize, then not only will they be able to project the agenda on everyone, you'll also not be able to escape it like you can now. Now, I don't use google anymore because it pushed the agenda. I can get away from it albeit with difficulty. Soon you won't be able to get away with it.
Modern democracy isn't democracy, and democracy in this state can never be a democracy. What it is is no different from totalitarianism, but arguably worse because the totalitarians are hiding in the shadows and nobody has no clue who they even are.
