I saw a youtube thumbnail that had MANDATE in huge letters, and I didn't even read it as being vaccine related. I read it as MAN DATE. The idea to even call something that you HAVE TO DO is gendered violence against women. It's triggering to women because it reminds them of being catfished or tricked on trash dates with men. I am especially bothered that they use the phrase in conjunction with vaccines, which is a necessity for public health reasons. When I want to have good things put inside of me, like a vaccine needle, I DO NOT WANT TO BE REMINDED OF MAN DATES, and their evil little cocks being FORCED on me-- because vaccines are the opposite of rape culture.
If we really are thinking about women, and gender-neutrality I would insist just calling it an 'order' or an 'ordinance'
Thank you
