the order of the people deserving of praise and who actually contribute is flipped in this manner eg the IT crowd represent the "deserving" members of society.

everyone is mentioned in the media everyone held up as the leaders of society, except for the very people that are actually doing the work.

You know I have never really watched the IT crowd - but this is pretty much spot on.

I often feel the same way in my current job. No one takes any notice of maintenance, site services or tech support. People in the office talk out their arse, wank each other off and live in their own little world. They will be off golfing or having a party meanwhile we're here just working away and you know what? I like it that way. I can't stand management or the office cunts. I'm glad I work nights and since COVID it has been near total radio silence from them.
