Black metal started with bands like Venom, Mercyful Fate and Bathory in the early 80s. It wasn’t until the early 90s that it had fully developed. The musicians were very extreme people. They were far right and white nationalists. Now they will deny this because they don’t want to get canceled but it’s true. The ironic thing though is that they behaved like black gangsta rappers.
They were violent and would kill each other and others over RESPEC and served long prison sentences. They also used arson, a crime that is overwhelmingly done by black people. Nearly every arsonist is a black guy. They also would make diss tracks like “Crush The Lies” by Aryan Terrorism which was the members of popular band Nokturnal Mortem. It was a diss track against many bands that were considered “untrue” or as black rappers like Eazy E would say “studio gangstas”. People like Varg and Euronymous would go on long rants against these fake gansta metal bands like Therion and Entombed because they didn’t burn down churches like them. They were like black gang members. It’s sad really because they were talented people and instead of making more good music they just killed each other and wound up in prison for decades.
