No. Not at all. Unless you live in the Third World, where malnutrition makes people a lot smaller. In the Western world and all First World countries except Japan, a man needs to be at least 6′1″ in order to be considered “tall” by most.
5′9″ to 6′0″ is considered mediocre size (“average”) for adult men, and mediocre isn’t looked at as a positive. Especially by women.

A majority of society would likely consider it weird, because females are typically six inches shorter than a majority of males in the United States, and United Kingdom, but it doesn’t mean that this female doesn’t suit a 5′7″ male.
Provided that they both love each other, nothing else matters. Even if the female was taller than the male, it wouldn’t matter. Love can only be found through personality, not appearance.

Not every woman is the same, but there are definitely plenty of women who will date you if that's your height, so yes. Personally, I would definitely date someone that tall.

Well, for most american women you are short. But many women would date you because most women won’t rule out based on height and if they do, it means that they don’t deserve you. ;D Stay positive mate !

The ideal Height of a woman is 5′0 even. Not 5′3 not 5′4 but 5′0. After seeing the romantic 1928 Italian silent movie Street Angel and seeing Janet Gaynor who was the prettiest of all the female actresses in the movie. Some of the other actresses in the movie looked taller than her but they also looked bigger and less attractive than her. I believe all women should be 5′0 tall. As for myself being a 5′10 male, I don’t think I could ever date a female over 5′0 tall. You look up actress Janet Gaynor and you watch her in 1928 Sunrise and 1928 Street Angel you will see what I mean. A female should be tiny and petite and helpless. Today's society many women seem to want equal rights as men even competing with men in the workplace. Female construction workers, female forklift drivers, female cops, female mechanics. Not for me lol. Women should be helpless, feminine, petite frame, 5′0 tall, wear dresses and light makeup and high heels and they should keep their hair down looking like a beautiful female. Fe in Female means feminine but when I see a woman with her hair shaved all off wearing a slumber jacket and jeans well it’s her preference I guess but for me, I’d like to go back in time to 1928 and meet Janet Gaynor. 5′0 is the absolute perfect height for a Female.

When Francis Galton compared the height of adults he did a regression against the height of the ‘midparent’ (=average height of the two parents) he came up with a regression coefficient of 0,65.
This means that in his day 65% of variation (the ‘heritability’) in height was due to genetic factors (and a bit of common environment no doubt). Nowadays this figure is a high as 90% is some studies. So the majority of variation in height is due to genetic factors. The reason that the heritability is higher nowadays in the western world is that our nutrition has improve a lot since Galton’s days and most of us grow to our ‘genetic potential’.
So the height of your parents certainly matters. Interestingly enough, while the heritability is very high; the effect of individual genes is very small. Many genetic variants that affect height have been identified but individually they only explain a small proportion.
