I was 18 years old, I was big, overweight and bluepilled. One night, my old friend invited me out to go to a nightclub with him. I agreed, and I got dressed in what I thought was cool, but really I looked like BoJack Horseman if he was fatter and a shaven gorilla instead of a talking horse.
We arrived at the nightclub, we had a few drinks, went on the dancefloor just standing awkwardly and was doing those two all over again, till we decided to take a break from that. We sat at the lounge and I saw these two girls (one was called Mollie and the other was called Gemma). I thought I'd shoot my shot and play the odds (maybe one won't reject me out of the two).
I approached them and started a concert about the night and it seemed to be going well. There was chemistry between Mollie and I, Gemma was interested too, even though she mentioned that she had a boyfriend. It wasn't one sided, it was actually a really good conversation with girls and I was feeling pretty chuffed; we even exchanged numbers.
It was time for everyone to leave the club, so the music stopped and the lights turned on, and the girls were able to clearly see my face. They gave me a stare of fear and Gemma even went "oh" in a sense of disgust. I naively dismissed that and they gave me a hug and said they'd text me later. I got my friend and we left the nightclub.
We saw those girls as we were walking outside; we didn't say anything but acknowledged each other's presence. So my friend took a taxi home and I decided to get a bus home. I'm walking to the bus stop and I actually see those girls walking the same route in was in front of me. I heard Gemma mention my name and Mollie said "it's that BIG guy, we were talking to" then they talked about the conversation we had and how they found me funny, then Mollie said "and he's UGLY too".
So not only did they have to mention that I was big and overweight, but they had to point out that I was ugly. Then everything stopped and I came to the realisation that looks matter so much, if they didn't see my face, they'd probably had texted me in the morning, I never heard from them again. I deleted their numbers off my contacts and started watching @FACEandLMS videos.
