Any Americans might know the story of Oscar Grant, a 22-year-old Black guy that was fatally shot by a white cop at an Oakland, California train station on New Years Day 2009. He and his friends were trying to get home after celebrating the New Year when a few of them were stopped by transit cops after a fight broke out. Oscar was one of those few and he was laying on his stomach with his hands behind his back when he was shot in the back by an officer. In a few months it’ll be the 10 year anniversary of his death, and I can’t help but fear that a similar fate awaits me. This isn’t trolling or LARP, so please take the racist bullshit somewhere else. These are just dark thoughts that are haunting my mind and I want to get it off my chest.
