Anything that benefits the female mating strategy is deemed as good and moral. Anything that benefits the male mating strategy is viewed as bad or exploitative.

If an older man uses his money to get younger women, that's bad and exploitative (though it's fine if he uses his money to get women his age or older). If a younger woman uses an older man for his money, some may talk about her being a gold digger, but ultimately, it's his fault because he should have known better.

Just like with prostitutes, the women are viewed as victims of dirty, disgusting men or as modern, empowered women while the men are viewed as predators. Even in places where prostitution is illegal, the law always falls harder on the men buying sex while the women are victims that need help.
