The most prevalent worldview of this century is that humans are blank slates upon which anything can be written. Change the environment and everything else will change accordingly, the advocates persist.
Yet, identical twins reared apart are strikingly similar both in behavior and intelligence. Parents notice that their children were individuals from the start despite sharing the same environment. Anyone who has been in a heterosexual relationship will tell you that men and women operate differently irrespective of the culture.
Then why does this worldview prevail? The answer lies in history: careful examination had led us to the conclusion that certain groups could not cooperate or were unable to compete equally due to their inherent qualities.
The first innate differences to be noticed were certainly among the genders. Men were taller, heavier, and faster than women. Due to higher levels of testosterone, men were more aggressive and risk-taking. Innovations and discoveries enabled us to live comfortably, but men were disproportionately responsible for them.
In realizing that women are less competent than men on the average, our ancestors limited their rights in order to protect civilization. Hierarchies were established on the basis of common sense.
In the modern world, common sense was deconstructed. Ancestral wisdom was disregarded. History was erased. Now the blank slate worldview reigns supreme and anyone who dares question its validity is persecuted, censored, or murdered.
However, innate differences between the genders will soon be undeniable. The science on this field is progressing at a rapid pace. For instance, more people are becoming aware of the gender differences in mate selection.
If history repeats itself, and there is every reason to believe it does, society will go back to normal in a hundred years or so, and the blank slate worldview will be interpreted as a minor inconvenience in human history.
