It is their new strategy to not talk about shooters, because they think that giving them notoriety would make more people go ER. So they try to make everyone forget about them and basically don't talk about the perpetrator, which is the opposite they did with Elliot Rodger.

If it turns out the shooter was an incel, we need to honor him and say his name, even if the media refuses to.
