5'5 vs. 6'5 is like living on different planets yet holding a ruler in your hand, you can't really grasp that the distance you see has such an impact. The main thing is that taller height isn't a flat, two dimensional increase upwards, it's more of an upscaling of the entire body frame. On a taller person, everything is overdimensioned compared to a shorter person. Tall height isn't about the eye level being at a certain point above ground but the presence and physical space it takes up compared to shorter people. Tall people have longer legs, arms, bigger feet, broader shoulders, bigger hands, bigger heads. We associate a big human being with all these positive traits.

I've long been skeptical of manlets trying to get big in the gym and seen it as a cope, but increasing your mass and thus your physical presence is obviously a good thing.

Mass doesn't compensate for height as far as women are concerned.
When guys look at other guys, they kinda conflate how intimidating those guys are with how attractive to women they must be. That's a common delusion.
I'm not saying any guy shouldn't be trying to get stronger. It's mostly all upside but if you're expecting it will make you attractive to women when before you weren't, then you're setting yourself up for an exhausting and drawn out disappointment.

Yeah true to a degree, but if you're a 5'6 guy and you're filling out a T-shirt and showing some biceps, you're better off than being scrawny at that same height. It may be over for both of them though.
