Proverbs 30
24There are four things on earth that are small but unusually wise:
25Ants—they aren’t strong,
but they store up food all summer.
26Hyraxese—they aren’t powerful,
but they make their homes among the rocks.27Locusts—they have no king,
but they march in formation.
28Lizards—they are easy to catch,
but they are found even in kings’ palaces.
29There are three things that walk with stately stride no, four that strut about:
30the lion, king of animals, who won’t turn aside for anything,31the strutting rooster,
the male goat, a king as he leads his army.
Proverbs 16
10The king speaks with divine wisdom;
he must never judge unfairly.
11The LORD demands accurate scales and balances,he sets the standards for fairness.12A king detests wrongdoing,
for his rule is built on justice.13The king is pleased with words from righteous lips,he loves those who speak honestly.
14The anger of the king is a deadly threat;
the wise will try to appease it.
15When the king smiles, there is life;
his favor refreshes like a spring rain.
16How much better to get wisdom than gold and good judgment than silver!
Proverbs 20
2The king’s fury is like a lion’s roar;
to rouse his anger is to risk your life.
3Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor;
only fools insist on quarreling.
4Those too lazy to plow in the right season will have no food at the harvest.
5Though good advice lies deep within the heart,a person with understanding will draw it out.
6Many will say they are loyal friends,
but who can find one who is truly reliable?
7The godly walk with integrity;
blessed are their children who follow them.
8When a king sits in judgment, he weighs all the evidence,
distinguishing the bad from the good.
9Who can say, “I have cleansed my heart;
I am pure and free from sin”?
Isaiah 9
4For you will break the yoke of their slavery and lift the heavy burden from their shoulders.You will break the oppressor’s rod,just as you did when you destroyed the army of Midian.5The boots of the warrior
and the uniforms bloodstained by war
will all be burned.They will be fuel for the fire.6For a child is born to us, a son is given to us.The government will rest on his shoulders.
And he will be called:
Wonderful Counselor,Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7His government and its peace will never end.He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David
for all eternity.The passionate commitment of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!
Isaiah 32
1Look, a righteous king is coming!
And honest princes will rule under him.
2Each one will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm,
like streams of water in the desert
and the shadow of a great rock in a parched land.3Then everyone who has eyes will be able to see the truth,
and everyone who has ears will be able to hear it.
4Even the hotheads will be full of sense and understanding.
Those who stammer will speak out plainly.
5In that day ungodly fools will not be heroes.Scoundrels will not be respected.
6For fools speak foolishness and make evil plans.They practice ungodliness
and spread false teachings about the LORD. They deprive the hungry of food
and give no water to the thirsty.
7The smooth tricks of scoundrels are evil.
They plot crooked schemes.They lie to convict the poor,even when the cause of the poor is just.8But generous people plan to do what is generous,and they stand firm in their generosity.9Listen, you women who lie around in ease.Listen to me, you who are so smug.10In a short time—just a little more than a year—you careless ones will suddenly begin to care.For your fruit crops will fail and the harvest will never take place.
11Tremble, you women of ease;throw off your complacency.Strip off your pretty clothes, and put on burlap to show your grief.12Beat your breasts in sorrow for your bountiful farmsand your fruitful grapevines.13For your land will be overgrown with thorns and briers.
Your joyful homes and happy towns will be gone.
14The palace and the city will be deserted,
and busy towns will be empty.Wild donkeys will frolic and flocks will graze in the empty forts and watchtowers
15until at last the Spirit is poured out
on us from heaven.
Revelations 4
2And instantly I was in the Spirit, and I saw a throne in heaven and someone sitting on it. 3The one sitting on the throne was as brilliant as gemstones—like jasper and carnelian. And the glow of an emerald circled his throne like a rainbow.
4Twenty-four thrones surrounded him, and twenty-four elders sat on them. They were all clothed in white and had gold crowns on their heads. 5From the throne came flashes of lightning and the rumble of thunder. And in front of the throne were seven torches with burning flames. This is the sevenfold Spirit of God.
Daniel 7
13“I kept looking in the night visions, And behold, with the clouds of heavenOne like a Son of Man was coming, And He came up to the Ancient of Days And was presented before Him.14“And to Him was given dominion,Glory and a kingdom,
That all the peoples, nations and men of every language Might serve Him.His dominion is an everlasting dominion Which will not pass away; And His kingdom is one.Which will not be destroyed.
Mathew 25
31“But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne.
34“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world.
Revelations 22
12“Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds. 13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”
16“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches. I am both the source of David and the heir to his throne. I am the bright morning star
