Although the Internet and the mass media have brought some benefits to humanity, in general, in the long term, when everything has been turned upside down, it will be the most effective means of political and cultural suppression. Do something politically incorrect and you will be recorded and the video will be uploaded to the Internet, millions of people will disapprove your actions, you will probably be fired, bullied and become an outcast in your nearby social circle, this causes a breakdown to any type of organized dissent. In the past, it was extremely difficult for society to control opposition movements, nowadays with the Internet these movements are practically non-existent, they are reduced to a few individuals. The government doesn't need to supress its population by traditional means anymore, the rabble itself is now supervising it's dissident black-sheeps.

I hate what the internet have become I also hate that there are cameras everywhere either on stores, houses and in the pockets of every person.

I remember a story I heard from a YouTube video with a person who alledgedly smoked weed with Woody Harrelson decades ago at a party he just randomly walked in to that would never happen today because everyone would record the illegal activities and be stupid enough to post it on social media for the world to see.

I also hate the times when I have tried drugs that I would be slightly paranoid about acting weird in public because it would just take one person recording me and uploading it to social media to ruin my life, I HATE how there are cameras everywhere there is no privacy anymore!!

This is exactly what is happening. The internet has channeled all the frustration to a meaningless digital medium. People who in the past used to be the leaders of revolutions & great cultural changes are now posting their thoughts in obscure forums & once they get their dopamine rush, they'll go back to their daily grinding. It's the perfect tool to keep non-conformists elements under the mob's control.

Exactly. People like to talk about the "police-surveillance state" and that non-sense, without realizing, it's the people themselves, who are used to keep an eye on black sheeps. Mass media is a catastrophe, but not Internet itself. Internet is necessary for spreading the truth, and I would not even know how to cope without it. I might be addicted to the Internet, but in the end, I think it is actually beneficial for humanity. Just wipe off cucked sites like Facebook and Reddit tbh.
