The primary reason why the internet has become more censored (outside of political ones) is that it's done to accommodate women.
Women cannot stand spaces where men they disagree with are allowed full freedom to speak. Women are mentally incapable of logically debating these men, so they become very, very angry when they're not censored.
I had a similar experience growing up. My sister started spewing feminist nonsense so I responded to her garbage with statistics and studies. She got mad and started screaming, and then my dad intervened.
Look at the absolute seething on Twitter and Subreddit calling for all "misogynists" to be imprisoned if you want to see this play out on a larger scale.
These women can't directly respond to men they disagree with/see as a threat, so they get other men to.
Do you think the "no body shaming" rule on discord was created to defend men? Of course not. It was done to defend women's fragile egos.
And ofc we already have so many studies that show women support authoritarian censorship on a mass scale.

Remember that women have nothing without modern society. They cannot imagine their existence without it. They don't yearn for societal collapse like we do because it means they'd lose their cozy Dunkin Donuts sipping equity-fueled lifestyle.
Society is everything to women so they're much more obsessed with using society as a tool to get what they want than men are. Whenever men have a problem, there's an understanding that they'll have to fix that problem, as no networks exist to aid men. Whenever women have a problem they campaign for government involvement.
Again, look at female centric subreddits. You'll find so many unhinged rants about how the government needs to do this, or how the government needs to do that.
Feminism as a whole would not exist without men and the resources men have built up. Do you actually think that if companies had to prioritize profits and cost effectiveness at the threat of shutting down, they would continue to pay women 40-50k a year to answer phone calls and sort paperwork?
Of course not.
There's been this article going around the last few years about how women's jobs are more vulnerable to being replaced by AI than men's. If these companies actually cared about profits and cost effectiveness alone they would cut all these foids jobs and replace them with ai.
But they won't because they're gynocentric and they love women.
If society collapsed women's empowered lifestyle would disappear.
Thus it benefits women to advocate for a more authoritarian government that gives them more privileges and shuts down men they see as a threat.
