Obviously, intended to be sarcastic, but how many men do you see going around on a day to day basis self-identifying as an incel or deliberately spouted mysoginistic epithets with the belief that it will result in them getting laid? NO one. It's a plain and simple straw-man fallacy. The fact that this motto has not been changed yet blows me away. It must say a lot about the people who are active on the subreddit that a logical fallacy this displayed on their homepage has remained there uncriticised by them. It's as if they don't even know what Incels are, and are attacking some idea they have constructed from their own ignorance.

I got to know some Chads while I was in college.

To have a "good" debate you really have to agree on rules to govern the debate beforehand, and most importantly separate yourself from your personal bias.

It's hard to do, and most people really just want a place to vent their thoughts and feelings, rather than address salient contradictions to their point.

I think to convince others you really have to ingratiate yourself to them, let small doubts to their current beliefs implicitly seep in, and slowly let them figure out the point for themselves. Most people don't use logic to form their beliefs (logic can be perverted, anyway); people usually use their feelings to decide what they believe, and find the justification afterwards.

It's like how people choose their political party. How many rednecks are getting fucked by right-wing economics, and yet still are diehard republicans? Republicans play to non-political areas to entice people (religion, values, etc). After someone identifies with the personality of a politician, they'll take on the rest of the politician's policy as an aside.
