I remember learing about the "Hero's Journey" in high school and college. Basically, a Chad goes out into the world, goes on an amazing journey, defeats an enemy, and then finds a loli waifu. I used to think that I would go on such a journey. All I had to do was work hard in school, study, and take calculated risks.

Of course, it all failed. I ended up in a shit job barely getting by (despite having a college degree). Of course, no girl was ever attracted to me and obviously their is no journey or enemies defeated. Life is just a slog. I had such major dreams when I was younger and I am absolutely shocked to see how low I am fallen. I cannot even believe it.

I don't know about cartoons but at least for me, it was a brutal fall. I remember I was actually extremely talented in school and my teachers said I would become something. I cannot believe my fall and I see no way out. I am just an object, I do not even feel human.

I have always wanted to become a hero, and go on a journey. I always wanted to live up to my full potential. However, life has worn me down real bad. It seems like things are getting worse and worse as you age. That is the worst part. Things really do get worse.
