Prompted by the recent societal purification in Moscow-Idaho, I was shower-musing about the pros and cons of Mr. Kohberger being outed as an Incel.
Of course, normies desperately want him to be one. It would be easier to adress some obscure internet subculture then the societal problems that motivate a crime such as his.
If he were to admit that he is a blackpilled Incel (with a corresponding online-history and all), normies would just happily point at “Incel-ideology“ and use it as a motive to further deplatform and persecute us. Problem solved.
However, if the only thing connecting Mr. Kohberger to Incels was his permanent singledom/virginity and a history of being bullied and excluded, then this would force normies to address these causes directly… or ignore them.
In the latter case, Kohberger would be an „Indie-cel“: a person who acts like a hardcore blackpiller but without ever having contact with proper Incel spaces.
The causes for becoming an „Indie-cel“ and a normal Incel are the same, but „Indie-cels“ force society to look for these very same causes instead of blaming the supposed brainwashing-powers of the evil Incel cult.
It’s like two identical religions that pop up in history completely separated from each other. The argument for such a religion being true is much stronger than that of a normal religion that developed in a single time/place and spread from there.
