You're 100% right dude. When people would make fun of me back when I was a youngcel I sometimes thought that if I killed myself they would feel some level of remorse or guilt. But as I grew older and wiser I realized what a harsh world this place is. Nobody except my parents really would give a damn.

I know at least a dozen people off the top of my head who would just fucking laugh if they found out I killed myself.

Nowadays I still am suicidal. But there's this lingering thought in the back of my head telling me "If you rope, they win. Don't give them what they want." it makes me feel pissed off I've been treated so poorly, and that if I killed myself because of it people would just laugh at me.
