The hate for Lizzie from the walking dead is kind of uncharacteristic for normies

Before I get called a cuck, this is all from a purely objective standpoint. I thought Lizzie would garner more empathy from normies so it was kinda shocking since child characters are usually beloved.

The walking dead universe is a very fucked up place to be. You can’t even imagine what kind of effects such a world would have on a child growing up in an environment like that, where resources are scarce and you have to live like shit, you’re always at risk of being eaten alive or killed or tortured etc. Not every child would handle this situation the same.

Lizzie unintentionally found her own way of coping by believing that when people become zombies they’re still actually alive and that zombies shouldn’t be killed. I get she’s dangerous because of this but I didn’t think she’d be such a hated character for it.

Not only all of what I said, but aside from being a young child. She could also just have a lower IQ as well which would’ve contributed to her thinking that zombies are still alive, it’s even stated in the show that she’s not as bright or mature as her sister. Even if you don’t wanna believe that, a world like this would and definitely could break a child mentally.
