The Future of Sexual Culture in the West

I am interested in futurology; attempts to predict the future of things like technology, geopolitics, normal human life, and how these things interact with each other.

For example, someone in 2007 might predict how the smartphone would develop and predict how it would change society in the 2010s; how it might impact our social lives and our collective perception of politics.

I am curious to see how the incel problem will progress as a society. The number of men in their 20s who have never been in a sexual/romantic relationship is growing rapidly. Will this trend continue or is there a ceiling? Will female hypergamy continue to increase? Will this be be exacerbated by technological changes?

If women are earning more but they still desire a wealthier and more successful beta male when the hit their 30s (after a decade and a half of taking dick after dick from hot Chads), then many are going to have a hard time finding one as women of their generation are on average more successful.

I sort of wish you were right because then at least the problem would simply have to be taken seriously and we could not just be written off as weird bitter failures; people would have to admit that there were broader social forces at play here that have made the market very difficult for below average guys to get anywhere.

Whatever happens, by definition, half of men have to be below the median average. Some kid has to come bottom of the class. Someone has to be the lowest performer at work, regardless if everyone works crazy hard. Half of men will always be below median average in looks, income, charisma, alpha personality etc…

Exactly, that's life. But you know what? It's a scam for most of us, existence isn't logical and we should go extinct.

We are already at that point, 50% of men definitely live a life under their expectations and don't have a satisfying sex life, if any. And still nothing happens, most men cope with pornography or adopt a beta male persona.

My only worry is that this is a cope; a sweet lie to convince ourselves that one day the issue will be taken seriously. Maybe the bottom 10% of men will just stay excluded, 70% of men will trundle along as betas and the top 20% of men (or smaller) will continue to slay.

Aside from corners of the internet like this, can you feel discontent from other young men? I don’t know how much you socialise offline or what country you are from.

Here Brit-bongistan, it feels like most young people, regardless of gender, are so conformist that they just go along with shit. Everyone seems to get their information from social media, in particular Twitter, which is cancer. Everyone want to be nice and doesn’t want to look weird so they just regurgitate stuff they read on social media about politics or other stuff. It’s weird. A lot people don’t even watch or read mainstream news; just regurgitate it second hand from stuff they read on Twitter.

I cannot really see how anyone here could build a movement. Social media has made the social consequences of stepping out of line from the ‘right opinion’ more serious and so most normal highly extroverted people seem to have become more conformist.
