Have you considered that folks of size have different fundamental needs in a white supremacist cisheteropatriachial society that upholds thinness as being the ideal and demonizes larger bodies? Maybe look into the racist origins of size discrimination and reflect on how you have contributed to the oppression of folks of size. Empowering larger folks is one step of breaking the capitalist chains that hold us all down. You can’t call yourself a leftist if you don’t support fat liberation.
