I usually see people ascribe to two ideologies. The duality of determinism or fate and free will but I believe it's a fake duality. Determinism doesn't make sense since it's practically impossible to determine if things that happen are fated to happen.

Free will on the other hand is not actually free from the myriad of complex natural forces in this world if you look into it closely.

There's a third alternative though. That the future, at any given point in time, is randomly generated. You cannot know what will happen in the future because even the universe doesn't know that since fate doesn't exist. And surely the future is not determined by personal choices alone.

This may sound incompatible with the phenomenology of causality. But frankly who takes causality seriously in this day and age.

How could determinism not make sense? If, in so far as we can tell, all phenomenon in the universe are evidently material then that would mean every aspect of our neurology, the the neurotransmitters, electrical signals, etc., would just be subject to the laws of chemistry and physics the same way the whether would be, for example. I don't think I would say our inability to determine if things that happen are fated to happen means that determinism isn't true. Being unable to prove something wouldn't necessarily make something false. (I hope I interpreted your point correctly).

I don't buy materialistic determinism because it seems theoritically impossible for systems to follow a known path

I used to "trust the random" to provide for my needs...

Jobs,
Money, jit (just in time)
Food? Same

Ofc, I too was very randomized in my actions. Fluid before it became popular. Back when it meant.

"Be like water my fren" - - b. Lee

I would randomly meet folks and situations that were mutually beneficial...

These days I'm more static than dynamic - except for my IPa! - so my options have narrowed as well.

However, if I randomized my actions more then the universe would probably return to a synchronization of beneficial events.

But, things are pretty good rn. So I'm not gonna change since I don't need to.

And yet, while "the random" seems purely random - from a limited Human perspective - it's "causes" is just far more subtle. but rest assured, their are causes behind all motions.

Nothing is random everything has a logic to it that is either comprehensible or incomprehensible. The logic can vary. Can be simple or complex. Usually complex. Many types of logic too.

That which is incomprehensible we call random but it is not, we just dont fully understand it. Saying it’s random is jusy throwing in the towel
