Used to do a lot of things that I don’t do anymore.
I cared so much about what others thought of me.
I’d brush my teeth every day, shower every day, put on clean clothes every day, shave every other day.
I would only eat healthy food. I would workout every day.
But one day, my mind had an epiphany……….
I had done those things for many years…….and had nothing to show for it.
No girlfriend, no friends.
At some point, I just let go.
I still do most of those things, but not every day.
I don’t obsess over them.
For example, I only shave when my face hair starts to bother me.
I only brush my teeth when they start to feel icky.
I just gave up, and in that surrender to fate, I found freedom.
In time, I ceased to care about the daily routine that once seemed so necessary.
