Plus I think the economy is the number 1 issue that most people care about.

Trump has the federal reserve to thank for his victory imo. The federal reserve hiked the interest rates for the past couple of years to battle inflation. So we've been in a recession for a couple of years now, feeling the pain of it, and only right now are we having a "soft landing" and slowly climbing out of the recession with interest rate cuts. People have been feeling the pain in the past couple of years.

That and the fact that his number 1 issue is the border which he has made clear over and over again.

The illegals really are a drain if you think about it. They strain the healthcare system, schools, compete with americans for jobs, stagnate wages, increase the demand for housing, etc...
