Even at the moment, emotion seems like something that doesn't happen to me and only affects 'normal' people, instead of making a difference to the animated corpse to which my mind is tethered.

This is how I described it this morning to someone; feelings, ironically, feel surreal to me, only the remnants of my humanity left to try to investigate them:
Maybe feelings are important, but it's like writing from a window, trying to peer through the condensation covered misty window of a warm cottage, only feeling a mild heat permeating because of the relative chill outside and the closeness of my face to the glass; if I don't make an effort to look through, it's not there; it's a blizzard of nothingness, a cold onslaught of dull pain that makes you want to smash that glass and gouge your eyes out, just to feel the fear of the unknown

Emotions being removed isn't enough. For example if you are hungry you still suffer, if you are starving to death you still suffer, if you feel pain you still suffer, you may not be sad or angry about it, but you will be unfulfilled.

Reproducing and having sex is a natural biological need that needs to be fulfilled to have a proper life, emotions or not.

Personally, I think emotions are valuable. Especially if you have animals. Plus the ability to read people is handy too.

You can temper them with logic... Sometimes.

Yes. I would then finally commit suicide, for I wouldn't have fear of death anymore. Only in face of death I could be at least comparable to Chad. Death is the ultimate happiness if you're not born as Chad.

I would take it , just to find out what it feels like .

When i have no emotions for a prolonged period of time I begin to have that 3rd world thousand yard stare like hatians. Most depressives rope because of lack of emotion. With emotion atleast my mind is occupied.
