For those that dont wanna read: An infinite data generation scenario, driven by an artificial superintelligence, could lead to the collapse of the internet as a functional and meaningful resource. The fallout would extend beyond digital systems, impacting economies, societies, and individual psyches. The collapse of the internet under such circumstances would mark a critical turning point in human history, forcing humanity to rethink its relationship with technology and information.
For those that do wanna read:
AI brothels are the future and I aint be kidding, there was this whole "AI Porn of Taylor Swift" uproar - lmao its gonna be WAAAAAY crazier in the future. Only real NSFW AI video creation comes around we will have Taylor ride a Vietnamese midgets dick while being pegged in the ass by Queen Elizabeth.
Legit I think "Actors" (Movie or Porn) and "Incluencers" will barely exist anymore because their "Identity" will just be a virtual abstraction for more AI content produced by third parties OR produced by ASI directly and continously. With infinite, free content available, traditional industries like film, gaming, and publishing might collapse as demand for human-made content dwindles.
Its opening up an entire "Multiverse" of crazy video creations were any High Status person can be thrown into any setting one wishes - this ultimately will not just lead to Onlyfans and most "real" Porn sites shutting down, but revolutionize the entire Entertainment industry in such a way that "Infinite Entertainment" will pop up.
The future Social Media you ask? Well I think it will be this: It will be a personalized algorithm, capable of generating synchronized short form content clips in a matter of milliseconds, perfectly aligned with the users data/personality/preferences. "Uploads" of third party content will become irrelevant.
Also: Have you noticed how much "Internet" you actually use compared to like 10 years ago? I can safely tell you that the average person will use maybe 20 different websites at most, including the Google Services (Mail, Maps, Pictures etc.), Youtube, ChatGPT and any amount of the big Social Media (Reddit, Insta, X/Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, Tiktok, Twitch, Discord). Maybe you consume Porn, so a certain amount of Pornsites are included like XHamster, PornHub, Xvideos etc. Maybe you use another few AI services because ASI hasnt arrived yet, maybe once in a while you buy something on Amazon or Ebay - but ultimately, how many "niche" sites have you used?
Have you even been on Wikipedia lately? Have you read Quora posts in the past few days? Do you even care about any News that are presented outside a SM service? How long have you watched Videos on Vimeo? Yes Tumblr, MySpace, ICQ, Ask.com, Kik and Co were not just pipe-dreams, they actually existed or still do...but barely anybody uses them anymore.
The next 5 years (2025-2030) will be a period were we will have MASSIVE amounts of websites all over the net shutting down or being discontinued or barely kept alive like oodle.com and the data lost will be massive and only optionally accessible via Waybackmachine (wayback.archive.org) - which also means that a ton and I mean hundreds of millions of jobs will be lost OR these people finding new jobs in the development of AI, Robots, Quantum computing etc.
After that I can very much see the "Death of the Internet" - the internet will die the moment ASI/AGI goes live. There will be SO MUCH content being created, that hardware cant even keep up, an ASI generating vast amounts of data would place enormous demands on storage capacity. Existing data centers might quickly be overwhelmed.
In a hypothetical scenario where an artificial superintelligence begins generating an infinite amount of data - videos, pictures, text, and other digital artifacts - the internet as we know it could collapse under the weight of its implications.
