I'm reading the book Bronze Age Mindset and central to the book is the concept of "owned space", i think it might help to explain our disposession.
It basically consists on the observation that most spaces we live in are owned by someone else, we are under someones control most of the time and we know it subconsciously, this awareness is always present in the back of our minds as we perceive the world. So the world is like a prison in some sense, we never inhabit spaces we have control over, that we would defend with our lives, that we are really attached to. Also in most of these spaces we are being watched constantly, it's suffocating, specially for males i would say. Its not only a spatial thing either, in every action we perform there is also the heavy presence of laws, restrictive moral codes, social conditioning. When i'm in public i started to notice how every movement i make is "allowed", will not bring attention to me, almost robot-like. This stuff is imprinted not only in our minds but in our bodies, reflexes, movements.
I think this concept could explain the incel's high inhibition or anxiety in most spaces, also the disinterest most of us have in traditionally masculine expressions - we deep down know that they are fake, that there are rules, that we arent really free to pursue actual masculinity, disruptive the status quo, that we are under control and surveillance, that this world isnt really ours.
Imagine living in a perpetual state of freedom, like when what we experience in the wilderness, remote locations, etc all the time. Imagine moving freely, joyfully, being self confident, but emanating this aura of being an actual force of change, a self interested and autonomous agent in the spaces you imhabit. Imagine thinking freely, without restrictions, thinking things no one ever thought, using words no one ever used, etc. Being interested and caring about the objects present in our environment, noticing them, having a relationship with them, noting their uniqueness, being authentic and original towards our own existence.
Here is an interesting passage about how chimps masturbate when in captivity: "Deprived of this drive to development and self-increase he devolves to pointless masturbation, in captivity, where he senses he is in owned space and therefore the futility of all his efforts and all his actions. "
TL;DR we own nothing, not even our minds, this might be a significant part of the oppression we experience as incels
