The concept of 'consent' is racist and islamophobic

In many ancient civilizations the concept of 'consent' was non-existent. Take for example the Islamic civilivation. Women that were in man's possession, i.e. wives and concubines, had the DUTY to fulfill the desires of the man that possessed them. Therefore, even if the woman didn't 'consent' to having sex and the man forced himself upon her it wouldn't be considered as 'martial rape', rather it would be considered to be completely permissble.

So why must I, a non-white Muslim, believe in these non-Godly ideas and values? Anyone who shames me for rejecting that sex may only take place between two consenting adults is therefore a WESTERN SUPRAMICIST, RACIST, BIGOT, AND ISLAMOPHOBE!

I accept the concept of consent but I have a problem with people who simultaneously think sex is no big deal AND the biggest deal ever.

If sex is no big deal, then rape can't be a big deal, even if it's wrong. For instance, clapping yours hands three times is not a big deal; if I grab your arms and force you to do it, yeah, that's wrong, that's annoying, unpolite, a violation of your personal space, I get it, but it's a very petty crime. No police in the world would send you to prison for a long time for something as innocuous as that.

My position is consistent: sex IS big deal. That's why rape is a serious crime, that's why your partners having had sex with other people before you is a serious thing, that's why promiscuity is something to be taken seriously.

IT will probably print this and come with their bread and butter stuff, "rape is about power and not about sex", which is utter nonsense. A man getting hard and penetrating a woman is sex. If he wasn't sexually aroused, he wouldn't even have the erection in the first place. I'll make it into a thread tbh.
