As a kid, i had Tekken 4 positive in my memory. Now that i played it again recently again after more than 10 years, i realised that this games difficulty is fucking insane. Even on easy difficulty, enemies kick your ass with ease at later stages. They dodge or block every hit perfectly and attack you with combos that you cant stop and that was my experience with most other Tekken games as well. You need to invest dozens, if not hundreds of hours to memorize all the commands of every single character, know their strengths and weaknesses and learn how to parry or block attacks like a god. And since im naturally not the best at video games, there is little room for improvement for me. I wish the games would be a little more casual friendly and not only for freaks who play these games religiously

They give you to get get better at the game and learn how to play. Most fighting games used to have actual escalation in their difficulty.

That's why I never liked fighting games, there's just too many fucking moves to memorize for each character.

At least other fighting games give you a little room for mistakes, for Tekken you legit have to study that game for hundreds of hours to stand a chance. They are simply not made for casuals unfortunately

Use the bears, most players underestimate them as gimmicks but they have many powerful and fast attacks.

I wanna complete arcade/story mode with every character at least once, but i gave up on Tekken. My gaming skills are simply too inferior for these type of games

I'm a bit surprised seeing this post. Most people tend to complain Tekken is an easy franchise. I suck at most fighting games (mortal Kombat, street fighter, Virtua fighter, marvel vs Capcom) but I'm pretty good at Tekken.

- The first thing about Tekken is it's about rhythm. There's a certain thing about the timing of when you attack vs when you should defend. This is more important than learning complicated combos.
- The second suggestion is to pick a character and master it. I'm a beast when I use Kuma/Panda. I don't know long and complicated moves but I use the same 7-8 strong moves.

My favorite is Tekken 6 and my favorite characters are Roger Jr and Kuma/panda

I remember in Tekken 6 I just made an uppercut then spammed punch before Azazel hit the ground kek

It is easy if you are blessed with god like gaming genetics and are willing to spend hundreds of hours of time into it

An old friend invited me over about a year ago. He really wanted to play tekken 8 with me so I did just to humor him. Obviously he destroyed me. He explained that now every character has different "stances" now, and every character has 100-200 moves total. I asked him to play online just to see what modern tekken online gameplay was like, and he lost all 5 games he played online, and badly. Even low rank players are able to do long ass combos that juggle you to the corner and hit you with a corner combo at the end. Like all PVP games these days, it's tryhards only.

Unless you're a sweaty tryhard with quick reflexes who's willing to put in hundreds of hours into a game, just stay away from any PVP games. Neijuan (See: https://incels.is/threads/neijuan-omnipresent-hyper-competitiveness-a-must-read-post.734744/ ) has ruined them for anyone who plays even remotely casually.

Noob advice noobs don't know how to deal with grapplers as I heard. In higher rank like experienced players you'll get bodied.

Nonsense, I ran through the ranks using the bears, they have vicious attacks that other players don't expect. Grab-spamming grapplers is simply avoided by ducking, then counter-grab or punish moves.

Shit sounds like doing brutal labor work
