This is a study on the effect of harems and inbreeding, the long term cost of Polygamous societies

A good look at this is in muslim societies. Even hypergamous societies may exhibit a certain amount of this, especially in smaller more insulated communities such as small insular towns or ethnic groups. West Virginians and many hillbilly cultures are known to inbreed, and we see where their IQ is... Same for many inner-city minority groups here in the west... Looking at empiricle cycles- monogamy>hypergamy>polygamy>collapse...

highly inaccurate presentation, in this population there are very few males, period. regardless of what you think of harems or inbreeding whenever there are few males there is going to be a loss of genetic diversity.

also, hypergamy and isolated communities are contradictory. in any isolated group the females are not the ones making reproductive decisions and chads sexual opportunities are limited by his male competition.
