We suspect that the stress raises levels of cortisol and other stress hormones which restricts testosterone production which is essential for male pubertal development. Stress, for both boys and girls, also inhibits growth.

Early childhood familial disruption is associated with shorter height for men, and is partially mediated by later puberty. For women, the relationship between father’s death, and height was completely mediated by earlier puberty. These findings indicate that disruption during childhood can have long-reaching health repercussions, particularly for boys.

And anecdotal observations suggest that anxious, undersized kids who are being treated with growth hormone often see an improvement in both their emotional and physical conditions.

If everything was done right I wonder if I would of grown another 2-3 inches

My childhood was comically horrific, i remember doctors asking my mom if i was anemic once. It was pretty much constant stress and misery and disease. I grew up very early to like 5'7 and never grew further in fact i feel i have shrinked now at 30. I got my cortisol levels tested once and they were multiple times the normal ones but no one did anything lol. At least at some point i will die and will be free of all this shit.
