Trades are still better than police and EMT because there are usually no night shifts, but the physical labor, heat, cold and exhaustion fucks you up rather quickly.

Most manual laborers are poor, unhealthy, sleep deprived and their bodies are broken by the time they're 45. Most office wagies do menial work, live up to 100 and don't tend to have major health issues.

There are a lot of negatives to working in an office setting that you can't comprehend if you haven't been in that setting before. It's especially bad if you're an antisocial incel. I'm not saying manual labor is necessarily a better option, just that the people who think working in an office for your whole life is "comfy" are idiots.
The same can be said for people who think manual labor is fun and fulfilling. It's an objective fact that office jobs are 'comfier' and that office workers live much longer than blue collar slaves.

If you slow down because your whole body hurts they'll tell you to pick it up. That's another thing a lot of office wagies don't understand. jfl in russia there are legit job offers for trades for 60 work hrs a week (10 hours a day, 1 day off) , but the schedule is irregular, like 3-4 months you work then 1 month off or something
It feels good to be an internal IT supportcel. Good mixture of just sitting in front of the computer reading academic papers and scrolling through Twitter + lots of physical exercise from running up and down the stairs carrying monitors, cables, etc.
