I wonder if the ruler would have arranged a wife for him if he were ugly. Anyways, it's incredible to think despite probably looking better than the average Tajik, marriage was out of reach because he was too poor. Completely different to the West where females would rather get with a poor Chad than a wealthy incel. His wife seems like she's a "career woman" but probably by Tajik standard so she'll need to be subservient and bear children. Even though this guy mogs me, to hear such a system still exists in this world is sort of uplifting.

tajiks are Iranians/Persians.... their language is like the same with Farsi (Iranian).....
