It’s literally almost a perfect embodiment of what my dream life would be like, aside from the whole farming aspect which would actually be pretty draining.

Peaceful small town with nature all around, plenty of space for fishing, hiking, studying different species of birds, insects, plants, fungus, mammals, anything I can find. And just feel the soothing calm affects from being at peace in nature far from the chaos of the city life.

An amazing life where I can have my own land and a beautiful loving wife to sleep next to at night in a cosy home as the plethora of stars shine bright undisturbed from too much unnatural lighting, and she sees me as a true man who takes care of his own land.

I could grow my own crops, raise my own animals and profit from it all, no boss, no one to take orders from. And the game’s music is complete suicide fuel, literally makes it unplayable to me.

Yes it might very well be the greatest game ever made or at least that’s what I told its creator Eric Barone directly in a brief PM conversation on his site. :cryfeels:

When i got my first child in My time at Portia i felt immense sadness, that life was exactly what i wanted irl. I also like the coziness of farming games and how effort is rewarded. I wish so hard that life was so simple.

I think that's why I can't enjoy these life sim games. I'm too blackpilled now to believe effort gets you anywhere, so it's just sad and tiring.
