Basically the talking show with Murray and Arthur is a allegory to our situation with the media, they want us in the spotlight, they want to invite us to their "news" programs, but not with the intention to help us, not with the intention to make things better for everyone, their intention is to make fun of us and make us even more angry and filled with hate.
