There's this "game" called Space Engine, it's a scientifically accurate simulation of the entire universe.

I like astronomy and science fiction and this is pretty much one of my go-to copes, even if my shit potato PC can barely run it.

It's very cool - I tinkered with it a couple years back. Just wish it was more a sandbox sort of game - I'd love to destroy some planets with realistic looking/acting meteors.
I'd just prefer just being able to control some sort of character and build stuff/shoot at stuff, but whatever.
Honestly it's actually insane that something like this even exists, so i can't really complain.

Would be sweet to. My laptop is no-where near powerful enough to run the program, sadly. I'd love to immerse myself in that simulation/game - relaxing on random planets and viewing the orbiting satellites drifting past... magical! Or being in a ship, viewing the planet slowly approaching in the far distance. A combo of Universe Sandbox, Star Citizen and Space Engine.
Elite: Dangerous kind of does this but it's nowhere as huge as Space Engine. Can't even land on Earth. Or the Moon for that matter.

Something about the ship UI bugs me a little - looks a little flat, not as dynamic as the Star Citizen fleets. Can't have it all, haha.
At least this game is out. Star Citizen will never be released.

Very based. :feelsmage:

Now go download the album Solar Echoes by Nigel Stanford and add it to the soundtracks and enjoy. :feelsmusic::feelscomfy:

(IIRC there was an option to add your own tracks to game)

They added Earth? Awesome

Talk about old Elites) You cant really play them nowadays - graphics... you will know, when you see it. Or, maybe you already know!
But they are totally huge... How about EVE?
