Akthually forest fires are an essential part of those ecosystems. A lot of government forests here have controlled burnings to help them.
The reason that California, for instance, keeps going up in flames is because the US government falsely thought otherwise for decades, causing all the old shit that would have been burnt to build up and cause mega-fires that are actually worse for forests than just letting them burn once in a while. In places like Australia many plants even let out their seeds during forest fires.

This is what people now believe was normal in the Pre-Columbian USA. Keep in mind that the experts aren't arguing over whether fires are a good thing at this point, just how often they're supposed to happen and how big they're supposed to be in specific places. A forest fire isn't like your house burning down, it's more like the forest exfoliating or menstruating. When a forest that hasn't been horribly mismanaged by American retards catches fire you should be happy for it.
