I received a message on Soundcloud from someone claiming to be a Sony music scout. I guess one of my songs caught their attention (if it actually is true), and I may have a chance at making a professional studio album.

I don't know if this is all just some trick. In fact I'm very standoffish because it could be someone trolling (maybe even an IT user that found my music)

I honestly don't know what to do. They're asking me if I can share my personal contact information so we can set up something.

What are your thoughts?

But since imo urs is kinda good its more of a 50/50 go for it i should warn you record labels love to fuck people over just a warning and also they’ll give you like some loans of money snd you’d have to pay that shit back by your music sales should warn you about that

There’s two ways you can go about it independently or go to record labels

Independent its harder to get ur music across takes more time and you wont be really well known at best you’d have some popularity in the underground scene until your song hits chinktok

Record labels theyre kinda scetchy they can fuck you over with contracts and other shit like that but they can get you more popular and you can make some decent money as long as your music can sell

If you do decide get a butner phoen number and a new gmail kr hotmail so that way the scammer doesnt leak ur shit

If you want to get some sort of popularirty you could be those self promoters lmao and make a instagram acount i’d study a lil about marketting if i were you

Also ask him if he has proof he works with sony
