Getting mogged doesn't feel good. Getting mogged repeatedly and intensely feels even worse.

In old times it might have motivated an ancestor ape/group of apes to fight with the top ape.

But physical competition is no longer the norm.

In modern times, Chad stays physically unharmed, which in itself is a way of mogging: His straight nose, his symmetrical face, his full head of hair... it's a way of peacocking that signals, on top of other things, that he has never lost a fight (or been seriously injured in other ways e.g. by an animal).

He stands tall (subconsciously signalling status and strength), his big jaw mimicking an expression of pride and dominance (jaw lifted up) and it's squareness offering protection from getting punched (same for browridge and cheekbones), high fwhr ratio with deep-seated eyes and shape of eyebrows signalling aggression even in neutral face position.

His face may cause a fight or flight response in the onlooker, depending on the onlooker's estimation of their own chances of winning the fight or not.
Someone who feels weak will submit to him (foids too) , while someone who thinks he can compete will challenge the Chad: access to resources and females makes it worth it.
Chad has a face and body that signals to others (whether he wants or not) a challenge into physical competition through fighting (he looks aggressive and intimidating even when his face is neutral), and his face also has an advantageous robustness to it that increases his chances of winnnig the fight in the end (the bones in his face act as a shield from punches and other severe injuries to the head).

The fact that this constantly passively-swaggering male is even alive signals to females that he must be strong to compete and high in the dominance hierarchy (else he would be dead).
After all, he gets away with looking like that.
IMO thugmaxx works in a similar fashion, constant passive (though looks) intimidation and swagger.

Of course, times have changed and most people don't have to worry about being harmed, but I think females "know" about this in a primal way and they are still attracted to that kind of dominance signaling. He instantly looks dominant, with all the meanings of it attached to it, so there is no need for him to establish to the female that he indeed is dominant and the female is instantly attracted to him. Of course, there is more to the attraction than male-male competitiveness alone (e.g. beauty), but I think it's a fair thought to have that it does play into it in some way.

The fact that getting mogged causes such a massive feeling of rage and depression (= repressed anger) in you is an alert by your psyche to make you compete or submit.

Since all you really can do at that point is stand there and accept that you can't go into a physical fight with the Chad (unless you are ready to take the consequences for that), you have to suppress your anger at getting mogged and accept that you are helpless.
The repeated feeling of helplessness leading to depression.

Of course, there are other ways of showing dominance, for example through fame (= having many people submit to you).
However, just being in the moment, there is no physical challenge to Chad, and there is also no way for you to easily show dominance over him (while having big muscles does make a difference, it is not the same kind of signal as the face. As we all know, good face is better than bad face with muscles).

As long as there is no way to challenge chad or outmog him, there is nothing you can do.
You feel helpless and depressed.
And so, you must endure.

Share your thoughts guys.

I think low T and being constantly lonely is what leads to depression, as long as the mogging doesn't escalate to bullying or some shit. I doubt any of us would give a fuck how tall or handsome someone else is if they had a loving and loyal GF.

Hate getting mogged

Dude, I'm not talking about the 1 thing that leads to depression.
The causation chain is the other way around.

Getting mogged is 1 thing that leads to depression, 1 factor out of many factors.

Also, sure maybe someone with a GF is able to cope with regular access to her pussy, but don't be fooled to think that guys with GFs suddenly don't feel mogged (threatened by other males) anymore... jealousy is very common in relationships.
Besides, this is a more modern arrangement then during times where there was no institution to regulate the sexual market.

Incels should be able to fight these chads, it's only natural selection.

High IQ post. The only thing I wonder is if it runs deeper in the psyche. When I try to trace these things back in my imagination, it seems like at some point we would hit a chicken-egg problem. The explanation for mogging seems to rational to me when I think about it deeply. Was there a time when women weren't attracted to Chad features? If we assume that attraction to Chad features in women is genetic (highly likely), then I guess it is just a matter that those women had more offspring. Then again, we don't really know that any other woman ever existed. The preference for particular male features could've just always been and since humans want to procreate, it is just that we are now as we were then. There is plenty of evidence that for women the difference between sexual arousal and fear is nearly non-existent. These qualities they find attractive can come from our relationship to animals even. We joke about the dogpill, but it isn't a joke that humans tend to find predator animals more attractive than prey ones. Wolves, raptors, snakes, lions, tigers etc. Even when we do like prey animals, they always seen as "cute" rather than "cool".

I agree with the general thrust of proposed theory, it seems evident that some element of perceived "threat" is required for sexual attraction.

@WarriorSkull Sexual preferences are often the result of adaptive traits being passed down by those who find them attractive (and so, more of the next generation's population favor these traits), but what is found attractive may have some degree of "randomness" to it.
Some traits are attractive, just because, while others are also adaptive.
So in that sense, it's not quite a chicken or the egg question, because preferences may develop at random.
I'm not sure if there is a way to properly trace it back as you said.

Thanks for your input man. I like it.
