Neither earth nor ocean produces a creature as savage and monstrous as woman.

Worse than a true evil is it to bear the burden of faults that are not truly yours.

No man on earth is truly free, All are slaves of money or necessity.
Public opinion or fear of prosecution forces each one, against his conscience, to conform.

What greater grief than the loss of one's native land.

A slave is he who cannot speak his thoughts.

Those whose cause is just will never lack good arguments.

A man's most valuable trait is a judicious sense of what not to believe.

Talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish.

To the ignorant, even the words of wise seem foolishness.

The wisest men follow their own direction.

I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees.

Whoso neglects learning in his youth, loses the past and is dead for the future.

The greatest pleasure of life is love.

I don't understand this. What does he mean? Is it like an innocent man found guilty and jailed?

He must have been cucked by Chad while Beta Buxxing a Becky back in ancient Greece.

Goes to show human nature never changes even after 2.500 years.

He must be referring to a mystical union here, not a romantic union.

We need more quotes from the ancients. Anything before Plato is preferred.

All quotes are on point.

Maybe he means examples like some asshole didn't work properly and his awkward ugly coworker is punished instead of him.
