We were all going to winter wonderland as part of a uni event and it was my first time having a genuine conversation to a girl. There was a hijabi girl and she seemed easy to talk to. I was wearing a mask to hide my ugly face. I approached her and we started talking and it actually went well. I was so used to being avoided and ignored by girls throughout high school. Anyway we mostly spoke about uni life and shared two laughs. It wasn't always me making conversation starters and topic starters like it is with everyone. She even made a comment about my clothes out of nowhere which was nice of her to notice that
We get on the tube and I make the biggest mistake. I get confident and take of my mask. We made eye contact and she looks down on the floor. Once we leave the tube I met up with her again, I make a comment 'Hey look to your left, don't you think those lights look pretty' pointing at some building. She says 'What?', shaking her head, squints her eyes and makes that questionable mouth expression. She's no longer responding to me, and later moves to a random group of people.
