To all people seeing my topic, admit it. You know it's true.

Social anxiety is basically fear of rejection. A 10/10 man or woman could say anything, sperg out in the most asinine ways ("I just farted, I hope no one smells it") and they would never be rejected in a social situation... At most they would be mocked and teased a bit before being reintegrated.

Because there are outliers and rare cases when it comes to SA (I personally know a tall chadlite who had SA, due to fucked-up childhood experiences), it is the perfect excuse to deny that in most cases, "SA" is actually ugliness.

true but anxiety/social anxiety is natural for everyone to experience in some way shape or form / also perception plays a role : halo effect & failo effect / social standing & class

nah, I can confirm this is not true,
I used to have huge social anxiety and I'm not ugly

Good looking guys can have social anxiety and ugly guys may not have it

Why can't people just accept that some people are just ugly. It makes me so upset at society.

There's more to it then that

Social anxiety is basically fear of rejection
I'd disagree, social anxiety is intense fear of social situations as a whole, not individuals that make them up.

Why tf would you fear something harmless, unless it's NOT harmless... If you're ugly, social situations can be harmful.

Because the whole point of phobias is that they are irrational.
A fully irrational phobia does not exist though

Spiders, snakes, heights, water, they all have a danger component, exaggerated and distorted in case of phobia, but yet existing.

In the same way, you necessarily fear something in social situations. Do you have the iq necessary to see this thing, or do you prefer LARPing as a mentally ill man all your life?

Yes they do, there is a phobia for almost everything, fear of long words, fear of balloons etc

You can be afraid of people making fun of you because you are ugly that's true, but that's not social anxiety, then you could just hang out with equally ugly people and be fine. A person who is truly social anxious/social phobia wouldn't even attend an event where they mog'd 99% of everyone there.

These big-ass lists of phobias were made up by grammarians as a game. In the real world nobody fears ducks or balloons, or close to nobody. It's statistically insignificant. The frequent phobias always have some basis in reality.

Ugly people can (ironically) make fun of you for being ugly, and are still subject to the usual lookist biases without being aware of it.

Such a person does not exist and if he does, he will very likely not stay socially anxious all his life.

There are over 7 billion people on Earth, is it really that difficult to imagine someone with a mental illness being afraid of something truly irrational, a person with schizophrenia, or psychosis for example.

Ugly people making fun of other ugly people just devolves into harmless banter, everyone knows everyone else looks like a fucking orge in that situation.

Such as a person does exist, as I am one such person. I have severe social anxiety.

Are you ugly or not? Only question that matters. If you're not ugly, stop being a little girl and start meeting people.

It doesn't matter If I'm ugly or not, I can't physically bear social interaction, that's social anxiety. If social anxiety to you is being a 'little girl', you don't understand and have never experienced it and I envy you.

Most people feel social anxiety to some extent, but extreme society anxiety is almost 100% found on unattractive people indeed.

Social anxiety I suppose is indeed caused primarily by fear of rejection, though agoraphobia is not necessarily rational or avoidable in all cases.

That being said, ugliness isn't the only factor in rejection. I venture you meant to say "unattractiveness", because people who stutter, or who have hyperhydrosis, psoriasis, dandruff, body odor, and other problems that can repel others whilst not necessarily being ugly are also affected by social anxiety.

You should have stopped at fear of rejection. And in that case, keep in mind that if one person can not care about it or learn to deal with it positively, they might get rid of the anxiety while still being ugly/different.

Peace out

So you're ugly? Are you ugly or not

True, but a Chad can stutter and have body odor and will still get girls.

I'm not ugly
If you're not ugly post your pics on the ratings megathread, if you're both not ugly and not too much politically incorrect with what you say here you don't have much to lose.

I would but I don't want to get doxxed

it's a legit death sentence, the ignorance is unbelievable here. Even if you make progress with overcoming anxiety, the lack of social experience becomes a major failo as you get older. This disorder permanently damaged me, I'll never truly connect with anyone
