I considered pursuing a PhD now that I have my master's, but I sincerely just cannot stand academia with a passion, purely because of the people that dominate it. Today's totalitarianism is about dominance of all, squashing all opposition and dissent in literal form, the kind of totalitarian system that dreams about controlling all of human thought or consciousness to the point that dissenting thought becomes impossible. It seeks to absorb all and leave any opponents buried alive or dead.
