OK so I'm sitting here watching Madame Web. XD

You may be thinking "Hoppi, why on Earth would you watch that movie?"

Tbh mainly because I heard that the bad guy was like Spider-Man Terminator and I thought that sounded like such a cool concept that I had to see it! And yah to be honest it did look pretty cool so far even if the rest of the movie is fairly poor.

Anyway, so the protagonist is doing what looks like kidnapping these three younger girls. But it's presented as "She must have a good reason!"

... when was the last time ANY MAN was extended that kind of benefit of the doubt?? lol

Probably about 2014 or something before wokeness.

You know... it really wasn't that bad.

It was... kind of... fine. idk. I wonder why people hated it so much.

Male = bad
Female = good

There are practically no convincing female villains in films. They're all either gender-swapped men, or they have some sob story which justifies why they're bad (usually because they were "abused" by a male). The only realistic one that comes to mind is Gone Girl.
