I have family that joined the Reserves because they actually give a shit about our country.

I've always been of the opinion that people shouldn't get military benefits unless they've actually been to war. Giving free college just because you went through the training is bullshit

edit: there are like 0 benefits to joining the reserve and even if they can get discounts off of things, they don't.

who says i havent been to war? dude i do my job. doesnt matter why i joined as long as i do my job. theres always someone who thinks there better than everyone else because they joined to be all noble and shit, and they dont do there job any better than i do mine. you do your job for a paycheck. so do i. i picked the navy because i didnt have anything else going for me and thought 4 years would be worht it to get me college and pussy. now i've been in almost 8 and at least i'm getting college out of it because there sure as shit aint no pussy coming my way.

the worst are the bitches who enlist, get knocked up as soon as there done with basic, and spend their whole contract on light duty while they crap out babies on the navy's dime. there even worse than the dependas because there basically getting paid to breed and never have to deploy because they cant be deployed while knocked up. soon as there off maternity leave and light duty and shit, they do it again. chick i went to basic with had two kids while she was enlisted and was preg with the 3rd when she got out. never did any heavy lifting or went to sea or anything in 4 years. fucking leech.
