This. I am from single mom family and it ruined me on all possible levels. Fucking hate this shit. All my classmates got help from their fathers to get good Jobs straight from the school while I had to waste over 5 years working up myself with backbreaking work on construction sites and random ass plants untill I got something decent. 5 years of wasted life just because my mom was unable to keep her legs crossed ffs.

My classmate #1 has father who is selfemployed as an electrician and comunitacitons services provider. He went working with him straight from school making twice as much as I did for less work. Nowadays, the gap widened so much that catching up is simply impossible.
My classmate #2 has father wo works as emergency technican for one of the biggest energy providers in my country. He managed to get a job in there for his son. After 1 year of training and getting all of the important certifications provided by employer, he got car for both work and personal use, equipment I could only wish for, future proof certification, cheap but good employee housing in the capital and shitton of benefits I could only wish for.
My classmate #3 managed to get a medior tier CNC machinist job in factory his father worked at. Normally, such job would be availiable with someone who's got 2 yoe at minimum. But guess what, his father put a good word for him.
My classmate #4 has father that works in a local bank as lower manager or something. Of course He managed to get a job to his son in there. Comfy corporate job with kinda ok pay.
My classmate #5 has father that works in police. Of course he wanted to do same job as his father. Of course his father helped him however He could. And now, my classmate is police officer. I mean, police isn't exactly the best paid job in here, but at least he can beat homeless people how much he wants.
After this the difference isn't that much big, but still. At least they didn't have to waste so many years working themselves up like I had to. I have wasted 5 years and it still feels like I just had luck by being in the right place at the right time. I wonder what how my life would look like would I have actually somewhat capable father.
And I still make only 2/3 of what Your father makes as an medior EE technican, it's fucking over man.

Some of my acquaintances managed to inherit flats in big cities or at least huge ass houses on the countryside and shitton of money in their early 20s while their parents bought them cars the same month they managed to get their drivers licenses and helped them find good job. Those people are fucking set for life in their mid 20s.
I managed to turn the tides a little bit. But even then, all the cards in my life were stacked against me, my family is evolutionary dead end and this soyciety still manages to gaslight me.
Crazy to think I made my drivers license 6 fucking years ago at 19 - I am 25 now and have not really driven in years and only sometimes with my fathers (which actually belongs to my mother) car.

I've made my drivers license 7 years ago at 18. I had to buy my own car from what I've made trought part time jobs back then. Nobody wanted to help me pick one, so I just bought škoda felicia 1.3 in LPG for like 250€ because back then 1L of LPG cost something like half euro or something. It cought fire after 6 months of driving. The car I bought after was škoda felicia 1.9 in diesel for like 150€. This car is probably one of the most based cars You could actually get and every cel should drive such car at least once in life. I loved both cars even though I had to spend more time on scrap yards looking for spare parts than actually driving those cars.
Brutal. Thats why I so fucking much hate all those crap talks about being better parent for Your kids than Your parents were. It's fucking cope and most of times, they'll end up the same. It's always mouth full of shit, but once it gets to actually act on it its over. Only way for such people to be better parents is to not make kids.
