To simulate the feeling of a hug, you have to get into a cold environment then slowly go into a slightly warmer environment.

The best way to do this is to go outside when it’s cold and the sun still isn’t up. Walk or stand outside until the sun comes up.

The warmth that will be enveloping you is pretty close to the feeling of a hug.

This sounds ridiculous, wouldn't a heated blanket and pillow make a better substitute, I don't see how being cold and then warm simulates a hug, I mean do fevers simulate hugs

if you don’t stand outside in the cold, then you’ll just get hot. Fevers warm your insides.
