We all know that some men will simp for women through donations online, whiteknighting, orbiting, and so forth.
However, we often do not consider a parallel behavior that women display towards high value males that also appears to be a form of simping.
For instance, when women pretend that what a man is saying is funny even if it is not meant to be funny, or when a woman ignores an attractive man’s obvious flaws (as seen from many catfishing experiments) because he is attractive.
There is a clear parallel to how certain women online aggregate simps and how certain men online (esp. in the context of Tinder) aggregate women (this is commonly presented as the 80/20 or Pareto principle).
I think the existence of simp behavior itself is interesting because forms of generosity are often seen as disingenuous in the context of the blackpill. In other words, if people are greedy and only looking for benefits for themselves, why would they give away resources, effort, and time through simp behavior?
I think simp behavior is, more broadly, a strategy to get the favor or attention of someone that is attractive or valuable in some way that would not usually give you attention. Being the simp-er automatically creates a hierarchy between the person giving and the person receiving the benefit, and thus it is a social transaction that results in further social inequality.
Let me know your thoughts.
